To Thomas Moore By Lord Byron

lord-byron-poems

My boat is on the shore,
And my bark is on the sea;
But, before I go, Tom Moore,
Here’s a double health to thee!

Here’s a sigh to those who love me,
And a smile to those who hate;
And, whatever sky’s above me,
Here’s a heart for every fate.

Though the ocean roar around me,
Yet it still shall bear me on;
Though a desert should surround me,
It hath springs that may be won.

Were’t the last drop in the well,
As I gasp’d upon the brink,
Ere my fainting spirit fell,
‘Tis to thee that I would drink.

With that water, as this wine,
The libation I would pour
Should be -peace with thine and mine,
And a health to thee, Tom Moore!

When someone speaks of love

Love-Poem

When someone speaks of love,
They have a smile on their face.

When someone speaks of love,
They think of a very special place.

When someone speaks of love,
It is done with fondness.

When someone speaks of love,
It is done in kindness.

When someone speaks of love,
It is not with dismay.

Won’t you! speak of love,
and brighten someones day

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too,
Went for a ride in a flying shoe,
“Hooray!”
“What fun!”
“It’s time we flew!”
Said Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle was captain, Pickle was crew,
And Tickle served coffee and mulligan stew
As higher
And higher
And higher they flew,
Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too,
Over the sun and beyond the blue. ”
Hold on!”
“Stay in!”
“I hope we do!”
Cried Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too
Never returned to the world they knew,
And nobody
knows what’s
happened to
Dear Ickle Me, Pickle Me, Tickle Me too.

Sand houses of dreams

english-poems-sad

If the meeting is necessary,
Then you should display your eyes on your palms,
Which keep waiting for centuries
Somewhere on the threshold.
You should le them accompany you,
That we see the lotus of dreams…
Floating in its lake, O my beloved…!
We will engrave the name on its beach,
And will make sand houses of dreams.

Something that i could say

love-poems-english2

If only there was something that i could say
to make the sun shine and rain go away
if there was something i could do
it hurts me to think
that you’re feeling so blue.
I’ll be your umbrella, together we’ll stand
to weather the storm,
i’ll be holding your hand.

I love you for the way you are

True-gangster-sad-love-poems

I love your for giving your heart to me
and trusting me with your pride
I love you for wanting me
and needing me by your side

I love you for the emotions
I never knew I had
I love you for making me smile
Whenever I feel sad

I love you for your thoughts of me
where I’m always on your mind
I love you for finding that part of me
that i never thought i’d find

I love you for the way you are
and for how you make me feel
But most of all I Love You
‘cuz i know you’re mine for real

This Feeling Called Grief

This heartache this sadness
this feeling of pain
to think I’ll never hear your voice
or see your face again

The loneliness without you
is beyond belief
I can’t come to terms with
this feeling called grief

It’s so hard to describe just how I feel
without you beside me
time has only stood still

I sit for hours in your favourite chair
talk to your photo
wishing you were there

I touch your clothes & start to weep
I hug your pillow
& try to sleep

Life must go on
I suppose it’s true
but a day doesn’t pass
without thinking of you

To treasure your memory
I must carry on
but nothing else matters
now that you’ve gone.

I wrote your name in my heart

love-poems-english1

I wrote your name in the sky
the wind blow it away
I wrote your name in the sand
but the waves washed away
I wrote your name in my heart
there it will stay forever
