Haunted

Slippery steps
Narrow pathway to
Hell
She sits.
Rigid and unmoving
Murderer
Corrupted absolutely.
Compassion diluted
In arrogance.
God’s name
Etched into
Her skin
Aren’t tattoos
A sin.
Bloody and weary
Tainted soul
Abandoned
Slumped over across,
Fading away.
Empty gaze
Cruel and black
The face of a
Villain
Camouflaged as an
Angel.
Her wings
Promising safety,
Security
And healing
Albeit built on shrivelling
Feathers.
She is too heavy.
Lips sewn down
No anaesthetic
She holds the needle,
Righteous glint
In her eye.
No witness.
So godly
Her heart beats
With the poisonous
Blood
She drained from
The broken.
Door is bolted
Not just to all
Familiarity
But to any
Choice,
Connection
and Family.
She is sick.
She is manipulative.
She is a mistake.
Stripped bare
She stands
Naked and ashamed,
Shivering.
Gazing into
Eyes
She was taught
Contained god’s spirit.
Trust.
Death better
Than betrayal
And sin,
Why is she still
Alive.
She is released
The messianic spirit
Still clinging to her
Unable to be shaken,
It will haunt her.
When she lies
Confused
She is there,
Tormenting her.
But she is holy.
She is the truth.
She is godly.
No surrendering,
She sits.
